Definition of Final Prospectus

Final Prospectus is the official offering document for a security, which contains the security’s final offering price along with all information required by law for an investor to make an informed decision.

Applying "Final Prospectus" to Securities Exams:

When a new issue is offered for sale to the public the offer must be made though the final prospectus. The final prospectus will allow the investor to understand the nature of the issuer’s business, the terms and conditions of the offering and the risks associated with the investment.
