Fundamental Analyst uses a method of valuing the company that takes into consideration the financial performance of the corporation, the value of its assets and the quality of its management.

Applying "Fundamental Analyst" to Securities Exams:

A Fundamental Analyst will evaluate the financial condition of a corporation when determining if an investment should be made. This type of analyst will often use a bottom up approach and look at the performance of the company, the condition of the industry in which it operates and the condition of the economy.
