Applying "Uniform Securities Act / USA" to Securities Exams:
The uniform Securities Act also known as the USA or the Act helped to standardized securities regulations within the 50 states. Prior to the adoption of the Uniform Securities Act states had securities laws that were vastly different from one another. This made it very difficult for issuers of securities to raise money by selling securities nationally. Brokerage firms who wanted to transact business on a national or multi state basis also found it difficult to do business in multiple states. The State Securities Administrator is the top securities regulator in each state and may adapt the laws in their own state to meet their state’s needs.
