Definition of Euroyen Bonds

Euroyen Bonds are bonds issued by a corporation located outside of Japan but denominated in Yen.

Applying "Euroyen Bonds" to Securities Exams:

If a corporation outside of Japan wishes to raise money through the sale of bonds and wants to raise money from Japanese investors it would most likely issue Euroyen bonds. By issuing Euroyen bonds Japanese investors would not be subject to currency risk and would most likely find the Euroyen bonds more attractive than bonds denominated in another currency.
