Applying "Visible Supply" to Securities Exams:

Broker dealers who would like to bid on new issues of municipal securities will turn to the Daily Bond Buyer to review such things a the notice of sale for new municipal issues and the amount of all new municipal issues coming to market in the next 30 days, the visible supply. A higher amount of par value being offered for sale will tend to drive yields higher.
